Delete Your PetBookIQ Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your PetBookIQ account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to both the PetBookIQ (pet owner) and PetBookIQVet (veterinarian) apps.

Option 1 — Delete from within the app

1. Open the PetBookIQ app and sign in.
2. Go to More → Account → Privacy & Security (owners) or Profile (vets).
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account and associated data are removed immediately upon confirmation.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email us from the address associated with your account at support@petbookiq.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will verify your identity and process the request.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data we hold about you, including:

• Your account profile (name, email, phone number, address, profile photo).
• Your pets and their records (vaccines, medications, weight history, visit summaries, photos).
• Your messages and call history.
• Device identifiers and push notification tokens.

Data we may retain

We may retain a limited subset of data where required by law or for legitimate business purposes — for example, transaction/payment records needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. Such records are retained only as long as legally required and are not used for any other purpose.

Timeline

In-app deletions take effect immediately. Email requests are completed within 30 days of verification.
