PetBookIQ Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the PetBookIQ application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PetBookIQ provides a platform connecting pet owners with licensed veterinarians for telehealth consultations, medical record management, appointment scheduling, and related pet healthcare services. PetBookIQ is a technology platform and does not itself provide veterinary medical advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use PetBookIQ. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Veterinary Services Disclaimer

PetBookIQ is not a substitute for in-person veterinary care. The platform facilitates communication between pet owners and veterinarians, but does not guarantee any specific outcome. In the event of a pet emergency, you should contact your local emergency veterinary clinic immediately. Veterinarians on the platform are independent professionals responsible for their own medical judgments and licensing.

6. Payments and Billing

• Fees for consultations and services are displayed before you confirm a booking.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@petbookiq.com for refund requests.
• You agree to pay all fees associated with services you purchase through the App.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Upload content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the App or its servers.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App without our written permission.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and software within PetBookIQ are the property of PetBookIQ or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without our express written permission.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to PetBookIQ (photos, posts, pet information). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

10. Privacy

Your use of PetBookIQ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetBookIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@petbookiq.com.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of PetBookIQ after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
